The waste management, in terms of the moderateness pillar under the sufficiency economy philosophy, classified
by military ranking had statistically significant difference at 0.004. The differences were explained that the
commissioned officers and non-commissioned had better waste management than employees. However, there was
no difference between commissioned officers and non-commissioned officers, in which both were ranked in the
intermediate level (X=3.37, S.D. =0.492) in terms of the moderateness pillar. Further considering the moderateness
pillar, the highest average value of waste management fell into a category of necessary expenditure (X=3.66, S.D.=
0.710), followed by a category of non-extravagant expenditure driven by trends (X=3.38, S.D.= 0.704)
