Next, the correlation between intended and perceived HRD is viewed in more detail. The control variable country and organizational size had a significant influence on either intended or perceived HRD3. Therefore, the data was split up for each of the control variables separately to detect possible moderators. The detailed correlation showed that intended and perceived HRD correlated, r = .49, p < .001 for the German organizations and, r = .69, p < .001 for Dutch organizations. Comparing the correlations showed that within Dutch organizations the correlation between intended and perceived HRD were significantly higher in contrast to German organizations, p < .05. This might indicate a moderating effect of the type of country.
