My video has a solid green back ground that I shot my actor on. This is called green screen video.
In Adbobe Premiere import your video to track 1.
Knock out the solid background color using one of the many keying selections. I used Ultra Key (in the video effects folder)
Using the fine tuning controls for the "keyer" (Found in the source monitor window, effect controls tab) increase the PEDESTAL level to darken the background. The OUTPUT level should be on COMPOSITE.
Copy this clip and paste it into video track 2 (easier to paste into video track 1 and then drag the clip to video track 2)
The clip in video track 2 must be set to ALPHA CHANNEL via the effect controls (as noted above)
The next step is where you have to get the two video clips to play side by side.
Under the PRESETS panel located in the EFFECTS listing (NOT EFFECTS CONTROL WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE SOURCE MONITOR TAB!), open the PIP folder. Drag and drop "PIP 25% LL" onto both video clips (video track 1 and 2)
Double click the video clip in track 1 and then go to the SOURCE MONTIOR window and click the EFFECTS CONTROL tab. Open the MOTION folder and rotate the video 90 degrees. Change the scale of the video to fot 50% in the PROGRAM MONITOR window. Do the same steps for the video clip in track 2.
At this point there should be a video of your talent in full color on the left with its background as black. There should also be a video clip on the right with the background solid black (tiny bit of grey is okay) with a solid white area of your talent.
You need to get these two clips to be exactly the same size because CREATOR will put the two clips together with the right side playing on top of the left side. So they need to be the same siaze or the transperancy will be off. (once you get this going you can fix it later!)
Click the video clip on track 1 (This highlights the track window)
EXPOR THE VIDEO: File - Export - Media
Export Settings: Format = MPG4, Preset = 3Gpp 176 x 144 h.263. Once you select this items the reset is populated automatically.
OUTPUT NAME: this is where you tell Adobe Premiere where to send the exported file.
NAMEING IS IMPORTANT!!! what ever file name you input it must end with .alpha (example: testvideo.alpha) Adobe preniere will add the file name extension .3GPP
Open Creator, import target, import IN PAGE VIDEO of your .3GPP file
It works for me!
