Alemu et al. concur that making Linked Data easy to create and put online is necessary before potential implementers will begin to use it. “It is imperative that the said technologies be made relatively easy to learn and use, analogous to the simplicity of creating HTML pages during the early days of the web.”40 The potential learning curve involved in Linked Data may be a great barrier to its potential use. Tennant write in an article about moving away from MARC to a more modern bibliographic framework that users “must dramatically expand our understanding of what it means to have a modern bibliographic infrastructure, which will clearly require sweeping professional learning and retooling.”41
