As for myself, I dress every day in either a skirt or a dress. You will never catch me wearing pants unless I’m at my part-time job at the movie theatre or I’m being forced to do physical labor (and seeing as I want nothing to do with physical labor, that generally isn’t an issue.) I feel comfortable wearing dresses, skirts, obnoxious jewelry, bright patterns, blazers, cute blouses, and everything in between. It feels right to me. And I always have people always ask me why I always dress so “nicely” or if I ever go out in sweatpants or Norts. I always have to explain to them, that what I put on everyday isn’t an effort- it’s actually quite natural. I cannot start my morning routine without putting on something from my closet. If I’m in my shorts and t-shirt, it’s only because I’m studying in my room or about to sleep. It almost feels like I’m naked if I ever have to go out in shorts in a t-shirt because I don’t feel like I’m dressed. There are many times when I have to go to events and the dress is casual and I have no idea what I should wear because to me, casual is a dress and a cardigan; however, to others, that means jeans and a button-up blouse. Some people say that I look too professional for day-to-day wear, but honestly, I don’t know any different.
