We are sorry to bother you with this matter once again. However JCD Technical Manager
needs your assistance to clarify the meaning of your Traceability information.
It was indicated that pineapple from each and every grower are processed to give a
separate batch of only 1000-1500 litres, which she thinks is very unusual. As producing
a separate batch of this small size would result in a loss of a lot of juice when equipment
is cleaned between each batch - is this really what happining?
OR - do you actually mix the pine from different growers and process them together to
produce one batch of juice.
Please advise. Please also confirm what size the finished juice batch storage tanks are.
Please advise:
- how much pineapple (metric tonnes) is grown in Thailand.
- what percentage of this goes to the juice industry.
- what is the percentage split for the remaining fruit going to fresh fruit/canning/other.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
