1. Herein, we report the synthesis of silver ferrite composite (AgFeO)by the hydrothermal method.
2. AgFeO2 modified chitosan and their application for biothiol separation/detection using matrix (surface) assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (M(S)ALDI–MS) are investigated.
3. The newmaterial does not only provide separation facilities,but it can serve also as a surface for surface assisted laser desorption/ionization
mass spectrometry (SALDI–MS).
