There are three variations of shoulder dislocation:
Anterior dislocation : forward separation of the humerus.
Posterior dislocation: backward separation of the humerus. ->This form of dislocation can result from contact sports but is more common from seizures, electric shock or weakness in the rotator cuff muscles.
Inferior dislocation is the rarest from of shoulder dislocation : a result of hyperextension in the upper limb when it is under resistance. It can lead to ligament damage.
