Physiological mode
To reduce patient inactivity, this study used information on breathing-control techniques and relaxation and activity issues, among others, oriented towards developing patient physical capability as part of written and oral patient education based on RAM. The study results indicate that the group given patient education made an important progress in the physiological adaptation mode. Such a result supports studies indicating that adaptation to enduring disease can be improved by educational programmes (De Wald et al. 2000, Buckner et al. 2007, Bakan & Akyol 2008, Narsavage & Chen 2008).
