The concentrations
of Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd in sea lettuce (U. fasciata) at Daya Bay
were significantly lower than the concentrations of the metals in
seaweed (Ulva lactuca) from Taboulba and Sayada, Tunisia (Cu:8;
Zn: 68; Pb: 12.6 and Cd:1.2 mg g1 dw; Yaich et al., 2011) and Gulf
of Kutch, India (Cu:15.1; Zn: 236; Pb: 2.3 and Cd: 2.83 mg g1 dw;
Chakraborty et al., 2014).
