On account of both demographic changes and evolving school instructional policies, many teachers today face an increasingly wide range of student learning differences be they academic, behavioral, physical, or cultural in their classrooms. This requires teacher education that helps teachers to become innovators and researchers in education, laying a foundation for continuous learning and change in the workplace (Brouwer and Korthagen, 2005 and Darling-Hammond and Bransford, 2005).
