redox couples of CdS/Cd and PB/PW [46].
It can be seen than CdS has a much higher Fermi level than does PB
(4.1 eV versus 4.9 eV), so energetically allowing electron flow
from CdS to PB. The similar analysis has been reported for photoinduced
electron ejection in aggregations of semi-metallic particles
and for spontaneous electron transfer in substrate-enhanced electroless
deposition [47]. Furthermore, we evaluated the electronaccepting
(electro-reduction) kinetics between the CdS/CNT and
the PB/CNT core–shell nanowire by comparing their onset reduction
potential in conjugation with cyclic voltammograms.
