In order to get a homogeneous mixture of MCCs and soybean oil, 0.1 g of soybean oil was first dispersed in 1.9 g of ethanol and kept stirring. Then, 0.5 g of sample (MCCs) was added into the soy- bean oil ethanol solution and mixed using ultrasound generated from an ultrasonic cleaner (KQ-600KDE NC, Kunshan, China) with full power (600 W) for 1 min. After dried at room temperature, the sample was put into an oven at 110 ◦ C for certain time to carry out the modification. When the modification was finished, the prod- uct was washed by centrifugation with ethanol for three times and then dried at room temperature.
