Rogers (1995) defines communication as a process in which participants create and share information with one another in order to reach a mutual understanding.
Rogers (1995) discussed two types of communication channels (1) mass media channels (e.g. radio, television, newspaper), and (2) interpersonal channels (face-to-face exchange between two or more individuals).
According to Rogers (1995) communication behavior plays an important role in identifying innovators and early adopters. Innovation adopters involve in deeper and wider communications with other members of social system and they have more social participation, maintain extensive interpersonal networks, and have contact with people within the social system, and also outside of it.
