5. Service Interface
5.1 GPON service board requirements
This section contains questions about GPON line cards:
1. The GPON interface shall comply with ITU-T G.984.1/2/3/4/5/6 standards.
2. The GPON line card shall be hot-swappable and hot-inserted.
3. The GPON line card shall support 16 GPON interfaces per line card. SFP module is preferred for GPON interface and the SFP shall be plug-in.
4. The proposed equipment shall support 1:128 splitter ratios.
5. The optical performance shall be complying with Class B+ standard with 28dB budget link loss. The Class C+ with 32dB is required.
6. The GPON line card shall support bi-directional FEC function.
7. The proposed equipment shall support ONU/OUT alarm report, port status inquiry, activation and deactivation, reset.
8. The proposed equipment shall support renew the AES key. The period shall be adjustable in minute level.
9. The proposed equipment shall be able to inspect the rogue (continuous lighting) ONT which radiates long time and have the capability to measure the optical power.
10. The proposed equipment shall support 10G GPON line card, shall support 4 port or 8 ports per 10G GPON board.
11. The 10 GPON board shall support maximum 20Gbps per board in Active/Standby model, and 40Gbps in Load-sharing model.
12. The proposed equipment shall support embedded OTDR (eOTDR) optical module and Reflector to improving troubleshooting efficiency including accurate demarcation and quick fault Location. Shall support do the OTDR testing online and will not impact the service. The eOTDR shall support 1:8 split ratio.
13. The proposed equipment shall support GPON Type C and Type C dual-homing protection. and shall provide E2E redundancy from OLT, ODN, to SBU
14. The proposed equipment shall support GPON Type B and Type C protection in between different boards and any ports, and shall support Type B switchover time less than 50 ms if ONU support, for TYPE B shall support redundancy in feeder cable,
15. The proposed equipment shall support The maximum differential reach (as defined on ITU-T G.984.7) of GPON extend to 40km
