Abstract: Rapid industrialization is the main source of waste water production by industries and it is the burning issue of the time. The present study was carried out in the laboratory of NFC Institute of engineering and fertilizer research, Faisalabad to estimate the waste water parameters in different areas of Faisalabad City. Six textile industries were chosen for sampling, samples were collected randomly and were subjected to analyze for various parameters like, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total suspended solids (TDS), electrolyte conductivity (EC), turbidity, temperature. EC was estimated by conductivity TDS temp meter. The pH was determined by using pH meter TDS was determined by evaporation method. Turbidity was measured by turbidity meter. BOD and COD were measured by a five days standard method in laboratory. The ranking of wastewater treatment facility and hygienic conditions inside the industries were also made on the basis of questionnaires. Overall the wastewater generated from industries was highly contaminated and most of the industries had inappropriate wastewater treatment facilities and hygienic conditions.
