The current model can handle thermal expansion provided
to know the nodal temperatures and thermal expansion coefficients.
Finding homogenized thermal expansion coefficients
is possible from the principles established in this
study. Finding the nodal temperatures of a stack being tested
in an environmental chamber is easy and the model runs very
well. But finding the nodal temperature of a stack in operation
is difficult. It requires multiphysics studies, including both
solid and fluid mechanics and also electrochemistry.
