4. Conclusion
The particular composition Na0.7CoO2 has been synthesized through
three different routes namely, solid state reaction, high energy ball
milling and sol gel techniques. Cathode material prepared through
latter technique is found to be highly stoichiometric. The Raman
active vibrations of the cathode have also found to be sensitive to the Na
content. Further, the partial contribution of Na+ ions to the total
conductivity of the cathode has been evidenced. The preliminary
investigations demonstrate feasibility of all solid state sodium battery
based on polymer electrolyte at ambient temperature.
