Case 2
Clinical history
A 33-year-old female presented with a history of severe pelvic
pain of 10 days duration, having a regular menstrual cycle,
LMP 16 days ago and -ve PDT.
Ultrasound findings
A transvaginal scan demonstrated a normal uterus, endome-
trium and left ovary. A complex cyst was seen within the right
ovary and free fluid was present in the right adnexal region
surrounding the ovary (Fig. 2a,b)
