In the two mentioned dominant ecosystems, four slope positions including
summit, shoulder, backslope and footslope were identified and in each land use and slope position, three cores
were selected to collect 72 soil samples fromthree depths (0–10, 10–20, 20–30 cm) in an area of 15×15 cm. Additional
28 soil sampleswere collected fromthe reference site for soil loss and deposition calculations by using the
Cs-137 measurement
