One of the things I like the best about this series is how well they are depicting the struggles Noh is going through, accepting whats happening to him in his relationship with Phun. I think that it plays real to life. This is really what it could looks like for a fifteen sixteen year old teenage boy to possibly go through when discovering affections for another boy.
Especially Noh who is clearly all boy, there's nothing about him that would suggest that he could be remotely gay. There's not a gay bone in his entire body. This is clearly a shock to him, as well as Phun who is struggling himself. Its not that he's mad, its just confusing frustrating, because he doesn't know where this is coming from. Their little trick backfired on them. Neither expected this to happen.
But the way the writers wrote these scene are amazing. I love the way Noh is playing out his struggle, so painstakingly thorough. I also like that it wasn't ruched, that it took some time for him to except what was happening. I also like that he understood the right distinction between his anger and his struggle. He was angry that Pnun was giving him the cold shoulders, not for the potential kiss and mutual care and attraction. That showed he clearly knew what was going on.
Job well done.
