Alignment of large ribosomal RNA subunit (16S) sequences from Apolygus spinolae and A. lucorum obtained in this study Seven representative variants were identified in A. spinolae and one variant was detected in A. lucorum. Nucleotide position is based on the alignment of the 546 bp segment including primer sites (gray background). Dots indicate same nucleotides compared to those of an A. spinolae sequence variant (KU049696). The species-specific sites between two species are indicated by open rectangular frames(at positions374and 436). The restriction site digestible by ClaI is represented in black background.
