Thermodynamic assessment of an AHT prototype operating with water/Carrol mixture was carried out. Commercial 316L SS PHEs were successful for operates in all modes: evaporator, condenser, economizer, generator and absorber. Four temperature levels configuration allows higher absorber temperature than Single Stage Heat Transformer configuration reported in a previous work with only three temperatures levels; with same temperature in generator and evaporator for this prototype the absorber temperature was from 97.3 to 101.5 °C [32], instead for this new configuration the absorber temperature were from 103.9 to 106.8 °C; but it requires than evaporator heat load should be at higher temperature to generator, however, this configuration not necessarily implies two heat sources: if the heat source heated initially at evaporator and later the generator, can be obtained four temperature levels configuration. The results showed that this configuration achieves a high absorber temperature values, however, the GTL decreased due to the evaporator temperature is also high.
