Hey everyone
relatively simple question, I've searched around the web a bit and found very little to no information on roberto ferri's process, especially specifically whether or not he is using figure construction, or painting from life, which is my main query. If his figures are purely out of his head/construction based the guy is a genius!
I suspect it is a combination of the two(e.g. studies from life mixed with some idealisation of the figure, with invented lighting), but some clarification would be great as I don't particularly trust guesses when it comes to an artists process...(as have often been wrong in the past!)
This is all a result of my having a major interest at the moment of how far one can go with constructed/imagined figures, as opposed to painting from life. (So far, the russians seem to be at the fore of this area)
All information is welcome, and thanks for the help
