The electronic brake control valve (1) is mounted to the top of the electric drive propulsion module (2) and may be accessed by tilting the cab.
The brake control valve is controlled by the Machine ECM through three solenoids. The brake control valve directs oil from the pilot and steering charge manifold to the brake pistons to slow or stop the machine.
The proportional brake solenoid (3) controls the oil flow to the brake pistons. The solenoid is normally energized when the brakes are released.
The brake control valve contains one ON/OFF parking brake solenoid (4) and one ON/OFF secondary brake solenoid (5). The parking brake solenoid is controlled by the parking brake switch through the Machine ECM. The secondary brake solenoid is controlled by the service brake switch on the travel control pedal through the Machine ECM.
