The recoveries were
ascertained by spiking 2, 4 and 6 lg/kg of AFB1, AFG1 and OTA; 1,
2 and 4 lg/kg of AFB2 and AFG2 and 4, 8 and 12 lg/kg of ZEN in
non-contaminated cereal breakfast product samples. The method
has shown good recoveries and all the spiked samples have recoveries
in the range of 83–94% with RSD varies from 6% to 16%. The
retention times of ochratoxin A and ZEN were 8.775 ± 0.15 and
9.95 ± 0.20, respectively. The chromatogram of blank sample and
4 aflatoxin standards are shown in Fig. 1.
