To prevent cluttering the screen, the graphical user interface of GTS Framework generally
runs in a single window. The framework uses familiar GUI elements; selected items are
usually colored green, and the focus is painted orange. For many GUI elements, hovering
the mouse over the element will show a tool tip, i.e. a brief explanation in a yellow box. As
shown in Fig. 4.2, the framework window comprises the following areas:
The green Tools column at the left, showing all opened Tools. Here, you select the
desired Tool to be shown in the main area at the right.
For most Tools, the main area consists of below two sections:
The control panel, containing Tool-specific GUI elements
The work area of the Tool. For most Tools, the work area contains multiple pages.
When switching between pages, the control panel adapts to show suitable options
for the selected page.
