In SSF, -amylase and amyloglucosidase were used to liquefy and hydrolyze the fresh material to fermentative sugars, mainly glucose. The effect of the enzyme mixture was investigated by sup-plementing enzymes at levels of 0-0.2% (v/w) at a ratio of 1:2 for fresh material and water (corresponding to 136.36 g dried mate-rial L−1) in the abovementioned medium without glucose.
