3. Engaging the groups with the subject
During the first meetings, just after installing the KODU application, the students were introduced to
the actual environment of the program. They got familiar with the basic menu options and the Sample
Games offered along with the installation. They were also encouraged to experiment with the Tool
Palette attempting to create a world of their own.
During the meetings that followed, the students at a steady pace and with the distinctive assistance of
the teacher and his guidance during the whole intervention, worked on the creation of their own digital
game, according to the scenario to which all the groups have agreed.
As they proceeded, they kept learning more about the KODU's programming environment.
