Ji Wu Jiu got flustered, feeling as though someone took a piece of his heart out, it was very painful. He simpley took a blanket corner and helped her wipe her tears, “Zhen Zhen…”
“I bid farewell to you, your majesty” Ye Zhen Zhen closed her eyes, and turned her face away, in her voice there was a strong nasal sound.
Ji Wu Jiu saw that she has made up her mind, and was afraid that she will be angry and disgusted with him. Holding on to the pain in his chest, he got down from the bed. Standing in front of the bed now, he saw that her face was not a blushing red that was supposed to be there after… but instead a pale white. He covered her with a blanket and said “then… I will leave first, tomorrow I will come and visit you”
With her eyes closed, Ye Zhen Zhen did not reply.
When he left Kun Ning Palace, it was already late into the night, outside it has started to snow. The entire palace was quiet, with only the lanterns were lit, looking like eyes of ghosts. The snow has piled up into a thick layer, noises can be heard when movements are made.
Walking towards Jiao Tai Hall, Ji Wu Jiu stopped.
JI Wu Jiu looked up at Jiao Tai Hall, suddenly his body fall back, his whole body now laying on top of a pile of snow.
“Your Majesty!” Feng You De put down his lantern anxiously, and wanted to help Ji Wu Jiu up, but was stopped by a gesture made by Ji Wu Jiu.
“You go on ahead, I want to be alone”
Although Feng You De is a little worried, but he still can’t go against the emperor’s orders. So he left the lantern with Ji Wu Jiu and went back to Gan Qing Palace first.
Ji Wu Jiu was laying on the snow, with some snow starting to enter his clothes via his collar. The back of his neck is very cold now. Although there was no moon, but with the layer of white surrounding him, it was not really dark. With his eyes wide opened, he continued to lay there.
