got off the phone with Ebay, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner but I was away and just saw this when I got back Thursday night. I wasn't on Ebay or checking my email which is only used for Ebay related business.
Your auction ended August 23rd and your item was delivered to you on September 6th. You received your auction item 6 weeks ago, why would you not notice something missing the day you got your package and opened it? I spoke to EBay's escalation department on the phone and was told that I can basically do whatever I see fit with this situation.
I want all my customers to be happy but I have a 14 day return policy for a reason. Seeing as I packed that box 3 months ago I'm as sure as I can be that I put that slipcover in the box. Your message did not say anything about the steelbook so I can assume you were happy with that which is what the auction is all about, slipcovers can be purchased for $5-$10. I want to be clear Ebay told me I could just hit the decline on their return request form and that would conclude this auction. I am trying to be good seller, I don't have to do anything more for you I hope you understand that.
I am not sure if your asking for a full refund? If you are the answer would be no, we are way past 14 days I'm sure you understand. If you had sent this to me within 14 days I would have given you a full refund. If I made exceptions it would become a habit and 2 weeks is enough time for customers to thoroughly inspect the items. I don't have time to deal with all the hassle of someone a month later finding a better price, getting the wrong gift, etc. I tried 30 day returns, there were to many unnecessary returns.
I want to keep all my customers happy so please let me know what you would like me to do given the circumstances. I was thinking that maybe I could send you $5 as a good will gesture but I would have to clear that with Ebay first. If I did so I would then hope for positive feedback. Please respond within 48 hours
