Data analysis indicates that some hypotheses tested using Japanese data were
supported (H3b and 4), while others were not (H3a); the same is true for hypotheses tested
using U.S. data (H4 was supported while la-b, 2a-b, and 3a-b were not). However, FEFL
was marginally significant in predicting meat and cereal consumption in the U.S. The
following chapter will discuss differences and similarities in the results of analysis between
the two countries.
