On the basis of satellite remote‐sensing data of fire products, possible fire emission sources having high contributions to Black Carbon of Tongyu were identified. A part of northeastern China and the boundary regions between China and Russian Primorskiy, Khabarovskiy Amursk, and Chita were short‐range sources, and the south of Central Siberian Plain was long‐range source. As for high Black Carbon levels at Tongyu, the region between Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province of China and the boundary regions between China and Russian Primorskiy and Khabarovskiy were possible sources of fire emissions. Despite synoptic processes have played an important role in the transport of air pollutants, particularly during Black Carbon events at Tongyu, it is beyond the focus of this study.
