I found Innovations in Clinical Practice: Focus on Group, Couples, and Family Therapy to be an excellent source of new ideas, new modes of thinking, and new ways to practice.... The authors provide very specific, detailed interventions, in clear and lucid language, usually with vivid and forceful case examples. All of them seem to have a fundamental optimism and a 'can do' attitude, which I think is crucial to our work as clinicians.... Clearly the authors have had successes with their work, and they convey a realistic hopefulness that readers, too, can have success with these approaches.... Given the difficulty of clinical practice, we, and our clients, all need doses of hope to keep us going in this field. Innovations will give the reader some of that hope and encouragement. I would highly recommend this book
