Good night Yuva,
So let me see if I understand what you are saying. Your mother in law lives at home with you and Mac. If that is true, I can understand why Mac and Meaw are protective of her. And I absolutely have no right to interfere with family decisions. We are talking about your family and I should do nothing other than support the decisions you are making about your family. Can't grow together if we don't support the decisions of the other.
Mac may not like not being able to use English on an everyday basis, but there may be opportunities at the university for him to be able to practice. There is no doubt his days will be very busy. But I am sure all the students taking English may appreciate his knowledge and might be willing to work with him so they can learn and expand their abilities. Perhaps he can setup a study group at the university library or some other location. Perhaps once or twice a week for a couple of hours. It would keep him in practice, and would be beneficial to the students who decide to attend. This is just me thinking out loud so Mac can have an alternative thought for his new job.
It never ceases to amaze me how the thought process in the west works. Here we are, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia are trying to flow the tide of illegal immigration onto their shores because it is an added cost they can no longer afford, and the western news agencies are screaming foul! What the west should be doing is screaming loudly and on a daily basis about how Myanmar is treating its citizens because they do not approve of some of their citizens. And people wonder why I object to the liberal thinking that is taking over the west! I get so annoyed when I read these articles. Blame all and take absolutely no responsibility for the actions associated with that blame. The west needs to regroup its journalistic creed. They need to simply report and not provide any commentary. Guess I should stop my commentary of distrust with the western news organizations.
Pleasant dreams and sleep well. I think about you all the time.
Hugs & Kisses
Randy
