In literature, Klekner et al. (1991) reported
a maximum yield of 33 g/l of SLs when the yeast was grown
on medium containing sucrose (100 g/l), yeast extract (2.5 g/l) and
sunflower oil (95 g/l); on the other hand, Daniel et al. (1998) obtained
a very high yield 280 g/l of SLs by using a medium containing
deproteinized cheese whey, yeast extract with repeated
feeding of rapeseed oil in a 30-l bioreactor.
