Development of a stable and compact aerobic granules in SBR system at different high temperatures fed with synthetic wastewater was successful with slightly different in terms of morphology features. Granules with the highest average diameter was cultivated at 50°C with excellent COD removal efficiency of 98.17% at influent loading rate of 1.6 COD g (L d)-1. In addition, 94.45% ammonia removal rate and 72.46% phosphate removal rate were also observed in the system indicating the potential of the developed aerobic granular sludge technology to be applied for hot climate circumstances such as those encountered in Saudi
Arabia.
