Independent Projects
Independent learning projects have long played a major role adult education. In 1979, Alan Tough studied to which the extent adults engage in individual learning projects outside of formal classrooms and found that an astonishing 97% of those people he surveyed saw themselves as doing so. Within institutions, in classrooms at all levels, teachers also have long used in projects to foster learning. originally thought of as homework assignments, independent projects now constitute a commonly used self-directed learning approach.
