After the second day of the
experiment, the amount of chlorophyll was
constant and this is likely because most of
the phytoplankton had been grazed by M.
macrocopa and B. thailandensis. Thus, a
small amount of phytoplankton remained
the same. As the zooplankton levels
dropped due to gradual mortality, the
efficiency of the zooplankton to graze
phytoplankton in general began to decrease or was constant.
