Load ergonomics documents have been created over
the years to satisfy various needs, such as requirement
specifications for load ergonomics, product requirements
and quality checklists in projects including
ergonomics, etc.
* ‘‘Tools’’ for work, during and after training, have
been designed to facilitate and ensure daily efforts,
for example, a manufacturing engineering checklist.
* Improved cross-functional cooperation within project
groups and ergonomics groups has been developed.
This saves time.
* Comprehensive ergonomics technical standards and
awareness within new construction have gradually
been attained.
With good ergonomics, recruitment is simplified, since
the choice is greater, both with regard to sex, age and
skills. Our experience is that multifarious teams are
stronger than homogeneous teams.
Personnel costs are lowered in several ways. A
reduction in staff turnover means, in turn, lower
recruitment and training costs. Teams with lower staff
turnover rates also become more efficient.
Absenteeism has decreased, which means fewer standin
staff. It is also easier to keep competence up-to-date.
With good ergonomics there are fewer occupational
injuries and lower costs for the rehabilitation of
employees. All companies in Sweden are required by
law to implement rehabilitation measures.
The KLE strategy states that quality is a priority and
that everything should be done properly from the start.
It is therefore a matter of course to have good
ergonomics for work positions, job stages, ways of
stacking and sorting materials, equipment, work technique
