The rise of Asia is rapidly spurring the birth of new startups and private equity players in Singapore.
In recent times, the Singapore government has been actively encouraging more private investors to invest in the country’s numerous start-ups by introducing timely tax incentive schemes.
According to a news report, Singapore accounted for almost 52% of all private equity investments in Southeast Asia between 2005 and 2010. The country is also considered to be the fourth attractive market for venture capital and private equity firms.
This spells good news for start-ups that are looking to raise capital through equity financing.
