Some intermediate strategists (tuna,mackerel and hake) are large-sized, highly migratory
pelagic species (Fig. 2) that are able to move from
areas of poor conditions to areas of better conditions
as reflected in large distributional changes (Polovina
1996; McFarlane et al. 2000).
