A study conducted
by Lam et al. [13] reported that women with fibroids affecting the
lower part of the uterus experienced greater blood loss, higher rates of
cesarean delivery, and higher rates of postpartum hemorrhage compared
with women who had fibroids affecting the body of the uterus.
However, fibroid type (intramural, subserosal/intramural, and
subserosal)was not associated with adverse obstetric outcomes.
