You can float this idea with Protea for the trip to observe unloading operation at Durban.
We may only witness or check how they do de-stuffing at the port.
I am not sure that it would help to solve the problem but please check with Mike.
Pictures of bags before de-stuffing (sent earlier) showed that holes was caused from Thailand end.
We must prepare enough info or good action plan on Thailand side before the trip if any.
1) Strap issue : bad quality from VAVA : once change to bags from other supplier then strap problem will be resolved
2) Hole issue : packing at PBB , warehousing (inside and outside) , stuffing location (LKB & BKT), de- stuffing method (Durban/DAR), bad quality bag (?) , and others are the possible way/locations which may cause hole problem.
How can we check / do corrective/preventive actions on Thailand end?
Please have an internal meeting on 2) and make the summary which then should be presented for Mikes’ comment.
