Effects of M. aeruginosa extracts and exudates on P. malaianus
were presented by “change to control” calculated with the formula: “change (%) = (N/C) × 100 , with N being the treatment data and C
being the control data. Promotion or inhibition rates (IR) for all parameters were calculated as (N/C − 1) × 100 or (1 − N/C) × 100,
respectively.
Data were expressed as means ± standard deviation. Com-
parisons between different concentrations (C and/or T1–T5) or
between different treatments (exudates and extracts) were per- formed by a one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and subsequent Fisher LSD comparison tests. The tests were performed using SPSS
17.0 after homoscedasticity of the variance was checked with
P < 0.05 considered statistically significant.
