The government is preparing to place competitiveness development on the national agenda and to set up six panels to map out an action plan.
Thanin Pa-em, deputy secretary-general of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB), said yesterday's National Competitiveness Committee meeting chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha agreed competitiveness played a very important role in the country’s development and considered it imperative to raise the issue as a national agenda.
