The most common issue people experience are error messages that pop up like “The object “layer “Legacy 1”” is not available” or a variation of that. It’s a really simple issue to fix, and it is caused by 1 of 3 things:
– The Photoshop Actions are not installed correctly
– You need to flatten your image before applying the Lens Distortion
– Or lastly, you are trying to apply the wrong Photoshop Action on a light layer. i.e. Using the action Legacy 1 on the light layer Legacy23.png
Solution 1 – Installation
Check out this video tutorial for properly installing your Photoshop Actions.
Step 1 – Delete any previous version of the Photoshop Actions, and quit Photoshop
Step 2 – Copy-and-Paste the Photoshop Action “Lens Distortions – Legacy.atn” into Applications > Photoshop > Presets > Actions
Step 3 – Once you’ve successfully placed the Action in this folder, simply double click it. Photoshop will open and you’ll be good to go!
Solution 2 – Flatten Image
Check out the above video tutorial for solving this problem.
In order for the Photoshop Actions to properly blur and warp your image, you’ll need to make sure there is only 1 layer, and that it is called “Background”.
Step 1 – Right click in the layers column, and select “Flatten Image”. You will not be able to undo this, so save a copy of your project if necessary.
Step 2 – Drag your light layers into your project and apply the Photoshop Actions as you normally would.
Solution 3 – Use the correct Actions
This is pretty self-explanatory…
Step 1 – Use “Legacy 1” for “Legacy1.png” and “Legacy 13” for “Legacy13.png” etc., etc.,
