Note:Ctrl−:Negative control(non-inoculated cabbage seeds).
Ctrl+:Positive control(cabbage seeds inoculated with Xcc5).
Each value represents the mean of 10 replicates (each replicate includes≤10 pseudo-replicates).
The seedling emergence and black rot incidence on the cotyledons and true leaves were measured 7, 21 and 42 days after sowing, respectively.
The LSD is for comparing the values in each column with one another. The LSEffect (=LSD/√2) is for comparing any one of the disease incidence values with the negative control (that was a constant value of zero) in each column.
Isolates P1 and P24 were omitted from analysis of disease incidence because of the low number of normal seedlings obtained from seeds inoculated with these isolates.
