The data for this study were collected via an online questionnaire utilizing a
pre-recruited consumer panel from a commercial online survey company in the USA
The unit of analysis of this study was the individual online auction shopper. A total of
1,544 people accessed the survey link and 148 abandoned the survey before finishing
490 people were not qualified for this survey because they did not participate in online
auctions during the last 12 months. Additionally, three non-usable responses were
deleted. As a result, 903 usable responses were entered in the analyses.
