Furthermore, we investigated whether the ten Trichoderma
spp. isolates would coil around the hyphae of both the
pathogens, which is considered to be a sign of mycoparasitism.
From microscopic investigation, the three Trichoderma
isolates mentioned above produced coils around the hyphae
of both F. graminearum and F. culmorum when on WA,
while no mycoparasitic signs were observed in the other
antagonist/pathogen combinations.
